Come experience WARRIOR and utilize our training seminar event format to improve or maintain your game! Coaches, this is what you've been looking for to keep your athletes ready for competition in a safe no strikes format for your competitors! Our Training Event Seminar format features a round robin competition with matchups of Three Rounds, 2 minutes each. Fast pace, nonstop action, chained subs & reversals. All Styles of Grapplers and MMA Fighters facing off in a new tournament training event!

Round Robin Tournament Open

• NO SLAMMING OR SPIKING YOUR OPPONENT DIRECTLY ON THEIR HEAD OR NECK

• NO FLYING SCISSOR TAKEDOWNS

• NO SMALL JOINT MANIPULATION

• NO STRIKES OF ANY KIND

• NO GRABBING OR ATTACKING THE TRACHEA/WINDPIPE DIRECTLY

• NO COVERING THE NOSE AND MOUTH WITH YOUR HAND

• ALL GRAPPLING SUBMISSIONS ARE ALLOWED

ALL MATCHES ARE SUBMISSION ONLY NO POINTS 

Up to 3 Judges cageside or Referee will score the match in its entirety. If a match does not end in a 

submission, the three criteria the judges look at are -

Quality Submission Attempts

Positional Dominance

All matches are three 2-minute rounds with 30 seconds breaks. Warrior is a Training Seminar Event with the goal of providing an environment similar to cage sports for improving or maintaining grappling proficiency in the cage. All Competitors will wear MMA gloves, mouthpiece, and cup. Competitors without required uniform will be disqualified, no exceptions.*

*In the event of a single Round Robin Tournament ALL COMPETITORS WILL FACE EACH OTHER.

**In the event of two or more Round Robin Tournaments, the winners of each bracket will face off in semifinals and finals.

*** Only the FINALS Match will be 5 ROUNDS. 

**** In the event of no submission after regular time, A BLUE/RED COIN WILL DECIDE WHO GETS FIRST CHOICE OF TWO 30 SECOND POSITIONAL CHOICE MINI ROUNDS. In the event of no submission after that, the bout will be decided by referee/judges.

175lbs & Under

200lbs & Under

200lbs & Over

(In the event of uneven brackets, be prepared to go to a Madison style system of mixed weight bracketing.)

Female Matches & Brackets Individually Matched

Rules are same as above.

Top 2 Competitors advance to Finals in Single Round Robin. In Multiple Round Robins, top competitor advances in Tournament. 

Match conclusion score weighting table below:

1.3 points - 1st Rd Sub 

1.2 points - 2nd Rd Sub

1.1 points - 3rd Rd Sub

1.0 points - Overtime Sub

0.9 points - Decision

0.5 points - Draw (or Med Drop)

0.0 points - Loss

Top 2 composite total scores advance to Finals (Single Round Robin).

ALL FIGHTERS MUST HAVE A COACH/CORNER WHO IS MEDICALLY RESPONSIBLE PRESENT AND ATTENDING THE SHOW IN ORDER TO COMPETE.

Rules are revised yearly or as needed by the WCG Rules Advisors Team.

The WARRIOR CG Rules Advisors Team is a Private Not for Profit Independent Auditory & Advisory Board. Its members are accomplished Combat Sports Fighters, Coaches, Gym Owners, and Promoters. Board members serve as Referees, Officials, Judges, and in Regulatory Capacities of Promotions in the sport of Jiu Jitsu Cage Grappling. Warrior Cage Grappling is proud to have the support of the WARRIOR CG Rules Advisors for the conduct and supervision of its events.
